Iceland - ideal family vacation spot!
Iceland is a bit off the beaten track —with a great outdoors, unusual sights, ancient traditons and modern comforts. Easy to get to, fun to explore and most Icelanders speak excellent English. It’s a great destination for those families who enjoy exploring, want to take in new sights, and share this unusual little island. There’s lots to see and do along the way, so our family tours come in a variety of lengths and routes. They all start and end in Reykjavik as this is convenient to the airport and has plenty of sights, restaurants and fun for families. If you have a fairly short amount of vacation time available— take a look at our South Iceland Select, our 8 day /7 night drive, which offer s a very fun way to take in the waterfalls, birdcliffs and glaciers of South Iceland. If you have a bit more time, you should look at our 11 day/10 night South Iceland Sweep— which offers all the above and also gets out to Europe’s largest glacier— Vatnajokull and Skaftafell National Park. And for those lucky families with 2 weeks for fun, you should check out our Family Saga— which features West and North Iceland, Snaefellsness, Myvatn, Husavik and Deitfoss and all sorts of fun things in between -15 days and 14 nights. Our Family Drives share a few special qualities — accomodations are in family rooms, so you don’t have the concerns or expense of two rooms, there’s special pricing for kids 6 to 12 years old, and our itineraries are designed to help you experience Iceland at a family -friendly pace. We aim for a lot of time out of the car, and we focus on sights, stops, and activities that make sure that all members of the family have a great time. $$What’s included in the price?
