You don’t have to drive deep into the heart of the wilderness to experience and explore some of the other-world landscapes and the unique character of this distinctive island.
Day 0
Leave the US from Boston, Baltimore, JFK, Minneapolis, San Francisco or Orlando. Go to sleep - as it’s a short night flight!
Day 1 Welcome to Iceland! Grab your luggage and your car, and hit the road! You could explore the Reykjanes Peninsula and soak in the Blue Lagoon on your way into Reykjavik. Overnight in one of our Fosshótels in Reykjavík or similar.
Day 2 Start with Iceland’s trio of Wonders, only a bit over an hour away from Reykjavik - Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot springs, and Þingvellir National Park. Spend the next 3 nights at Fosshótel Mosfell in Hella / Fosshótel Nesbúð in Nesjavellir.
Day 3 Tour along the South Coast - take in some great waterfalls, the Saga Museum in Hvolsvöllur , Skógar waterfall and museum, Seljandafoss waterfall, and the sea stacks Reynishverfi, and the black sand beach at Vík.
Day 4 Head south west to the Reykjanes Peninsula, where there’s hiking, lots of bird cliffs, beautiful sea views. the geothermal area of Krýsuvík. You could top the day off with a soak in the famous Blue Lagoon and .
Day 5
Go west and a bit north, beyond Reykjavik and explore the Saga Valley Borgarfjörður with waterfalls, hot springs and historic sites and the Langjokull glacier. Spend 2 nights Fosshótel Reykholt or similar.
Day 6 Snæfellsnes Peninsula awaits you. Visit the pretty fishing village Stykkishólmur, known for its wooden hourses. Climb or snowmobile on the glacier covered volcano, Snæfellsjökull., enjoy mountains and sea, a Blue Whale watch, bird cliffs, great views.
Day 7 Head back to the capital, where you can wander through down town, shop a bit, and enjoy a great restaurant meal! Overnight in one of our Fosshótels in Reykjavík or similar.Overnight in one of our Fosshótels in Reykjavík or similar.
Day 8 Morning to relax, see Reykjavik, do museums, shops, pools or the Blue Lagoon. Drop car at airport and hop on the plane for home!

F cars are small four wheel drive vehicles which can be driven int the interior on "F" designated roads and tracks.
Prices: These vary by season of travel and size of car. Tours can start any day and prices reflect the season in which travel commences.

Prices are for travel commencing in the month or season listed.
Once you’ve picked your tour it gets easy! We send you our registration form, via e- or regular mail, which you complete and return to us with legal names, addresses for deliveries, and info on payment. We book your plane seats and the tour with Fosshotels in Iceland, and can confirm this to you usually within a week of receiving your deposit. You’ll get some useful travel info with your deposit confirmation, and we can suggest several guidebooks to help in planning your trip. Final payment is due 90 days before your departure, then you’ll receive a final package with tickets, itinerary, vouchers, travel literature etc. within a couple weeks of getting final payment to us. Then all you have to do is relax and get ready enjoy Iceland!
